Psychiatric Emergency Services is a joint program between the University of Michigan and the Washtenaw Community Health Organization (WCHO).  WCHO serves the residents of Washtenaw County and the patients of the University of Michigan Health System.  Psychiatrists and other mental health professionals provide emergency assistance for adults, children, and families in crisis 24/7.

Eastern Michigan University Campus Counseling Clinic
The Counseling Clinic within the College of Education at Eastern Michigan University offers personal
and family mental health counseling as well as career assessment and academic counseling that taps into
your potential and builds upon your strengths and the strengths of your support systems. Services are
provided to individuals, couples, families and children.


Counseling services are provided by advanced graduate students under the direct supervision of
faculty who are all licensed professional counselors and supervisors. The clinic runs in conjunction with
didactic and experiential coursework in the Department of Leadership & Counseling that prepares
clinicians to provide professional services to both EMU and the greater Washtenaw County community.
Fees can be waived in case of financial difficulties.

Ele’s Place – A Healing Center for Grieving Children and Teens

The Corner Health Center
The Corner Health Center mission is to provide judgement-free, high-quality, affordable health services
to young people aged 12 through 25. At the Corner, we offer a full range of health care, mental
health and supportive services for young people as they transition to adulthood. Corner staff—including

Ozone House
Ozone House offers 24 Hour support and resources for youth, and those who care about youth, any time
– day or night – at (734) 662-2222. Crisis Line counselors will help get access to food and shelter, or
direct youth to a safe place to hang out. Safe Stay Emergency Center (Ozone House, 1705 Washtenaw
Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI): for 10-17 year olds is a place to stay if youth is homeless or if there is conflict
at home. Call (734) 662-2222 for more information. Drop-In Center (102 N. Hamilton, Ypsilanti, MI):
for 13-20 year olds if there is no immediate danger, the Drop-In Center is a great place to receive services
or just hang out Monday through Friday after 4:00 pm.
